Abstract
During the forthcoming election campaign for the German Bundestag, and while the new federal government is being formed, the future governing parties will define and agree their foreign policy positions. This strategy document is directed at parliamentary representatives on the Bundestag Committee on Foreign Affairs, election campaign managers, the team responsible for the coalition negotiations, the political foundations and future government staff, particularly in the Federal Foreign Office. The strategy document formulates goals and areas of interest and provides specific recommendations for implementation.
