Abstract
In his novel Kamennye sny (Stone dreams), the Azerbaijani writer Akram Aylisli recalled Armenian suffering in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani public’s reaction has been harsh: Aylisli has been branded a traitor to his country; violent threats made against him are even supported by high-level officials.
